PEPPER

Peppers are extracted from the peppercorns of the vine piper nigrum. There are over 600 varieties of pepper (genus Piper), but few are used as spice, often distinguished only by the degree of maturation and the type of processing. Black pepper is one of the most widely used spices all over the world. Pepper has a sharp spicy flavor and adds good nutritional value to food, not only food, pepper has several science backed health benefits too when used in proper proportions in daily diet. TURMERIC

CARDAMOM

Indigenous to the land of the Malabar Coast in India. NUTMEG & MACE

Nutmeg & Mace are two distinctly different spices produced from a fruit of an evergreen tree Mace is the dried reticulated ‘aril’ of the fruit and nutmeg is the dried seed kernel of the fruit. Fruit is a fleshy drupe, spherical in shape, pale yellow in colour with a longitudinal groove in the center. When the fruit mature it burst open along the groove exposing the bright attractive mace, covering the hard black, shiny shell of the seed called nutmeg. TAMARIND

Tamarind is a tropical fruit similar to a pod containing brown pulp used in various food preparations. This tamarind pulp has a sweet sour kind of taste and is hence used in several Indian, Asian and American cuisines. Tamarind in India is widely used in chutneys, curries, savory dishes, meat stews, soups and rice dishes to give them an exotic sweet sour flavor and mouth-watering touch.
